Two Weeks and Counting
Well, two weeks from tomorrow, but close enough. We're getting closer and closer to the day, and the anticipation and anxiety are setting in. Obviously, we're super excited to be headed to Europe on a five-week vacation. So much to do, to see. Which is also the source of anxiety. Sometimes I feel like we're being a bit too ambitous. 12 city, 34 days. Can you see why I feel this way? But I know we're gonna have an amazing trip, whether it's 3, 12, or 32 cities. We've talked about having down days to try and recuperate. Plus we need time to do laundry, because there's only so much that can be packed for a 5 week trip.
As I said, we'll be visiting 12 cities. The cities are Barcelona, Pamplona, Bordeaux, Paris, Rome, Venice, Munich, Prague, London, Galway, and Dublin. Hmmm...that's only eleven. SALZBURG! How could I forget that one. It's definitely the place I'm most excited to go. I've beeen wanting to go since I was four (true story). I will be able to add the picture of me standing in the gazebo to the ones of Mom, Linda, Donna, and Shana and Weslea, Shana, and Tevan standing there. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, Salzburg is the setting for The Sound of Music. Matt will probably be ready to jump off a mountain when we're there, because I have no doubt I will be singing non-stop the whole time!
We'll be in Pamplona during the San Fermin Festival for the running of the bulls. I have no plans to run with the bulls, but you never know about Matt. Bastille Day is July 14th, and we'll celebrate it with the Parisians. I keep comparing it to our 4th of July festival, but I'm really not sure what all it entails. We plan to see the Vatican while in Rome, a vineyard in Bordeaux, a concentration camp in Munich, the Cliffs of Moher in Galway, and an endless amount of other things.
